Venustus Linux is a source-based independent Linux® meta-distribution.
It's supposed to be a cheeky reference to the Introduction to the Zig Programming Language blog post by Andrew Kelley, creator of Zig. One of the first remarks in the blog post was "I am nothing if not ambitious, and my goal is to create a new programming language that is more pragmatic than C. This is like to trying to be more evil than the devil himself." The main motivation for the creation of Venustus Linux, was to create an operating system more customizable than Gentoo Linux. This of course, is also like trying to be more evil than the devil himself, thus the slogan.
Venustus Linux is actively under development.
